Juli wrote to me the other day and said:
Hello,
I have a friend that call in her number everyday for the deal or no deal 10K giveaway. She wants to know how and where can she find out which number won on Mondays? Also on the bottom of the winners name it says subject to verification. How do you verify if your name appear as the winner?
Please let us know. Thank you,
Juli
Here was my answer:
Juli,
I reread the rules and I believe that there is no way to know what the winning case is for the week. That is why it is a sweepstakes and not a contest. A sweepstakes means it is a random drawing. The judging agency picks which case they decide is that week’s winner and everyone who picks that case number is entered and then they randomly pick one winner from that list. All you can do is pick a case number and hope you win.
The “subject to verification” notice you see under the winner’s name means that she has not won until they verify that she followed the rules. If she lives in a state that is not allowed to enter, is not old enough based on the rules, works for one of the sponsor’s company, or does not return the paperwork they send her signed and notarized in most cases, they pick another winner. That “subject to verification” clause is found on most sweepstakes.
I hope this helps.
Wendy
